The digest
In a compelling and candid interview, veteran investigative journalist Chris Hansen sat down to discuss a range of topics, from the upcoming film "Primetime" where he is portrayed by Robert Pattinson, to the ever-evolving landscape of online predator sting operations. Hansen offered a stark look at the increasing sophistication of predators and the critical need for parental awareness in the digital age.
"Primetime" and the Portrayal by Robert Pattinson
The conversation kicked off with the highly anticipated movie "Primetime," in which Robert Pattinson steps into the shoes of Chris Hansen. Hansen admitted that his busy schedule as the "real Chris Hansen" has prevented him from seeing the dramatized version yet, but he plans to watch it soon. He expressed curiosity about how the film will depict his early days of catching predators. When asked about how he felt about an A-list actor like Pattinson playing him, Hansen acknowledged that the filmmakers likely chose Pattinson for his commercial appeal. He also hinted at some skepticism regarding Hollywood's motives, stating, "What's Hollywood's motive here? We don't know, but I'll find out." He promised a follow-up discussion once he has seen the movie, and even joked about having a better answer prepared for who he would have chosen to play himself, mentioning Dennis Leary as a past consideration.
