The Digest.

Terms of Service · Effective October 1, 2026

The agreement

These terms cover The Digest iOS app (bundle com.production.ytdigest), thedigestapp.com, and The Digest in ChatGPT. They're between you and S7 Ventures ("we"). By using The Digest you agree to them. If you don't, please don't use it. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and why.

What The Digest does

The Digest turns new episodes from the YouTube creators and podcasts you follow into short written digests: an article, key takeaways with timestamps, and chapters. Every digest links back to the original video or episode.

Free and paid plans

Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to the app. Where it conflicts with these terms, Apple's agreement wins for the app.

About the summaries

Digests are written with AI from public videos and podcasts. We work to make them accurate, but they can miss context or get things wrong. The original episode is the source of truth. Nothing in a digest is medical, legal, financial or other professional advice, even when a creator's episode is about those subjects.

Creators and their content

Videos, episodes, channel names, artwork and thumbnails belong to their creators. The Digest summarizes them, links to them, and doesn't reproduce full episodes. If you're a creator and want something changed or removed, email us at the address below and we'll act on it promptly.

Your account and what you post

Fair use of The Digest

Please don't scrape, bulk-download or republish digests; resell or get around the subscription; or interfere with the app, the website or the services they run on. Quoting a digest with a link back to it is fine.

Using The Digest in other services

The Digest is also available inside ChatGPT. There it shows a preview of digests, with links to the app and to the original episodes. Your use of ChatGPT is governed by OpenAI's own terms.

Changes and ending

We may update The Digest and these terms. If a change is material, we'll post it here with a new effective date. You can stop using The Digest at any time by deleting the app, and you can delete your account in Settings → Account. We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these terms.

Disclaimers and liability

The Digest is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, S7 Ventures isn't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us for The Digest in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
