Dylan Jamelli welcomes Lucas Aoun, Australia's leading biohacker, TEDx speaker, and founder of In Before You and Booster Biology, to the podcast. Lucas, a qualified naturopath with a Bachelor of Health Science degree, shares his journey from working in his father's pharmacy to becoming a supplement formulator. He emphasizes his passion for addressing the root causes of disease and his expertise in gut health and the microbiome.
The Problem with Testosterone Boosters
Lucas and Dylan dive into the testosterone-boosting market, which Lucas describes as "full of really crappy formulas, really poorly dosed ingredients, proprietary blends." He asserts that many manufacturers have "not spent time thinking through each ingredient and why it's in there." They simply copy what other companies are doing, often including ingredients like maca powder, D-aspartic acid, shilajit, and fenugreek without proper research or dosing.
Lucas introduces his new testosterone formulation, Peak T, which contains eight ingredients. He explains that his approach is based on years of working with hundreds of individuals, analyzing their before-and-after blood work, and observing the effects of specific ingredients on hormonal parameters—not just testosterone, but also DHT, estrogen, prolactin, and cortisol. His goal was to create a product that not only shows a meaningful increase in free and total testosterone but also makes users subjectively feel the dopaminergic kick they're looking for, leading to increased motivation, drive, and confidence.
