Watch on YouTube ↗Key takeaways
- The authority of the risen Christ is paramount; He states in Matthew 28:18-20, 'All authority... has been given to me,' which emphasizes His role not just as a savior but as our ultimate leader.
- True lordship means recognizing Jesus as the one who governs our lives, requiring submission to His will even when it contradicts our personal desires.
- Common forms of resistance to lordship include pride, control, fear, and distraction, which can hinder our ability to submit fully to God's authority.
- The power of the resurrection empowers believers to live in obedience, transforming our ability to surrender to God's commands and overcome obstacles.
- Self-reflect this week on who is leading your life; write down areas where you feel resistance to God’s authority.
- Pray for the Holy Spirit to reveal areas where you need to submit to God's will, fostering a deeper commitment to obedience.
