Kamal explains that Saaf Allah was a birthright American, born in the United States, who worked at his family's ice cream shop in Tampa. Saaf Allah was murdered in July 2025 while attempting to visit land that his family owns in the West Bank. Kamal recounts how Israeli settlers have been illegally occupying the area since April 2025, trying to steal more land. He emphasizes that his village, like many in the area, consists of 80% American citizens, many of whom own land there. Saaf Allah was trying to reach his family's land when he and his friend, Muhammad Shalabi, were ambushed by approximately 50 settlers. Muhammad was shot in the back, and Saaf Allah was beaten to death. Kamal describes the agonizing two-and-a-half-hour wait for an ambulance, which was delayed by the Israeli army and settlers, ultimately arriving too late to save his son.
