The Discovery and the Immediate Aftermath
Max Sica, Neelma's ex-boyfriend, arrived at the Singh residence after failing to reach Neelma by phone. He brought his two children and niece, intending to take the Singh siblings to a movie. Upon finding the house eerily quiet and Neelma's car in the garage, Sica's 11-year-old son checked the back of the house. Sica then entered through an unlocked garage door and discovered the horrific scene: three dead bodies in the spa bath. He immediately called 000, stating, "I've got three dead bodies in a bathtub." Police arrived to find the house in disarray, with water dripping from the ceiling and bloodstains leading to the main bedroom. The spa bath was overflowing with murky water, concealing the bodies of Neelma, Sidhi, and Kunal. The initial assessment indicated they had been in the hot water for a considerable amount of time. Neelma had been manually strangled, while Sidhi and Kunal had been struck over the head. Kunal, however, was still alive when he was thrown into the spa and drowned.
